Ryan’s eyes lit up when he saw the cover of my book, it reminded me of my own eyes when I was his age and saw a book cover with horses and animals. …my eyes still light up like that! I’ve studied the life of Crazy Horse for two decades. This is my Lakota Sioux guide, Donovan Sprague. I hired Donovan on our one free day to teach me about Crazy Horse from a Native American perspective. Donovan is so talented and knowledgeable, I am proud to call him my friend. Donovan and I following the path of Crazy Horse; Donovan at the memorial to Crazy Horse where he was killed, Fort Robinson, Nebraska; Donovan playing a song to honor Crazy Horse, on a beautiful flute that he hand carved.
